There are no stars on this night
But still I walk in delight
The clouds are covering the moon
I hope this walk will not end soon

What keeps me out in the dark
Is not the moon or the stars spark
Even though this night is cold
I continue with hopes new and old

I love the rain, it’s cooling chill
I hope so much not to get ill
I walk this night in bare feet
The soggy ground feels so sweet

I am at peace in the rain
I want this feeling to never drain
I feel the rain running down my skin
It brings much joy from within

I do not want it to ever stop
Oh never come you final drop
For when it ends, I am gone
This midnight rain did not last long
